Alex is a distinguished technology leader and infrastructure architect with over 25 years of experience building and deploying large-scale systems in Silicon Valley. As the founder of Cubescale Research Labs and ScaleiQ, 

Dr. Lopez specializes in designing infrastructure solutions that seamlessly scale from data ingestion through to storing and managing vast amounts of information.

Since beginning his Silicon Valley career Alex  has been instrumental in shaping the technical infrastructure of numerous pioneering technology companies. His career spans the transformative dot-com era through the modern cloud computing age, with significant contributions at industry-leading organizations including , Quote.com, Lycos.com, Dialpad.com, EMC Corporation, Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), Autodesk, and Apple Inc. At UC Davis Medical Center, he applied his expertise to critical healthcare infrastructure systems and published various articules about healthcare and Data.

Alex has consistently demonstrated the ability to architect and deploy robust, scalable infrastructure solutions that handle enterprise-level data challenges. His deep technical expertise encompasses distributed systems, data engineering, storage architecture, and cloud infrastructure—skills he has successfully leveraged to solve complex problems across diverse industries including finance, telecommunications, enterprise software, healthcare, and consumer technology.

Alex holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, where his research focused on High Performace Computing.
